
CONDITIONS FOR ORGANIZING THE
ASIAN JUNIORS & CADET FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS,
(AJCFC) as amended August 20, 2007
Date and Place:
| The Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships must be held in the first half of each year at an Asian City designated by the Fencing Confederation of Asia
|
Events: |
Total 18 events
a) Six (6) individual events for Cadet: Men and Women Foil, Epee, and Saber
b) Six (6) individual events for Juniors: Men and Women Foil, Epee, and Saber
c) Six (6) team events: Men and Women Foil, Epee, and Saber
|
|
a) For individual events: One Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze medals to the top 4 fencers and Diploma to the top 8 fencers
b) For team events: Four Gold medals for the champion team, Four Silver medals for the second placed team, and two (2) sets of (4) Four Bronze medals for the losing teams in the semi-finals, and Diploma to the members of the top 8 teams

Entries: |
Maximum number of competitors per country
a) Individual events: maximum of four (4) fencers per country
b) Team events: One (1) team per country consisting of three (3) fencers and one (1) reserve.

Venue: |
a) Eight (8) pistes for preliminary preferably 4 color Pistes among the 8 pistes
b) One (1) elevated piste for the Finals
c) Preferably another 8 training pistes

Equipment: |
Must observe use of standard FIE equipment.(Use of transparent masks and wireless machines is optional)
|
Registration: |
Deadline for registration is no later than 15 days from start of competitions.
FIE member Fencing Federations in Oceania must be invited to participate
|
Entry Fees: |
The amount of entry fees to be charged to participating fencers shall be determined in consultation with the FCA President.
|
Officials: |
FCA will nominate/assign:
a) One Official FCA Technical Delegate
b) The President of the Directoire Technique
c) One member of the FC A Referees Commission
Host Country will nominate
a) One member of the Directoire Technique from Host country
b) Upon consultation with President of DT, assign
additional members from among participating countries |

The FCA will assign and invite all the Referees to be assigned for the Championships. All such referees must be acceptable FIE licensed referees and must all be under the direct supervision and control of the DT.

For the proper and efficient implementation and organization of the Asian Juniors and Cadet Fencing championships, the HOST must willing and agreeable to provide the following:
1. Competition venue with sufficient FIE standard equipment and training facilities
2. Meeting Room for FC A official meetings
3. Diploma and Certificate of Participation (Must include FC A logo, and signed jointly by the President of FC A and Host Federation
4. Accommodation (room and board) for FIE and FC A Presidents (or their official representatives)
5. Accommodation (room and board) and indemnities (at a rate to be determine in consultation with the FCA President) for the Official FCA Technical Delegate and its two FC A assigned delegates to the Directoire Technique.
6. Air tickets, accommodation (room and board) and indemnities (at a rate to be determine in consultation with the FCA President) of all assigned Referees
On the other hand, the Fencing Confederation of Asia will provide the following:
1. Official Designation as Host/Organizer
2. Right to organize FIE Referees Examination
3. Supply of Official FCA medals for the competition
4. Air ticket of its Official FCA Technical Delegate, its two assigned FCA Delegates to the Directoire Technique.

| The Asian Fencing Championships must be held in the second half of each year (except during the year of the Asian Games) at an Asian City designated by the Fencing Confederation of Asia

Events: |
Total 12 events
a) Six (6) individual events: Men and Women Foil, Epee, and Saber
b) Six (6) team events: Men and Women Foil, Epee, and Saber |
Awards: |
a) For individual events: One Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze medals to the top 4 fencers and Diploma to the top 8 fencers
b) For team events: Four Gold medals for the champion team, Four Silver medals for the second placed team, and Four Bronze medals each for the third and fourth placed teams, and Diploma to the members of the top 8 teams
c) FIE Ranking Points will be given to the top 64 finishers in the individual events, and the top 32 teams

Doping: |
Doping control will have to be carried out on three fencers: those placed first and second in the Finals, plus one more chosen by drawing lots among the remaining two finalists of the final of 4 fencers |

Must observe use of standard FIE equipment. (Use of maraging blades, transparent masks and wireless machines is optional)
Use of Video Refereeing equipment is required from tableaux 32 in the individual events and tableaux 16 in the team events.

Registration: |
All participating fencers must posses a valid FIE License. Registration of entries must be done through the FIE website. Deadline for registration is no later than 15 days from start of competitions.
FIE member Fencing Federations in Oceania must be invited to participate

b) Upon consultation with President of DT, assign additional members from among participating countries

Referees: |
FIE will provide the FCA with a list of “acceptable international referees” from among the FIE licensed referees in Asia . The FCA in consultation with the FIE shall assign and invite all official referees for the Championships
Should it be necessary, the host country will be allowed to field in more qualified FIE licensed referees
All referees will be under the control of the DT and the Member of the FIE Referees Commission.

4. Expenses for Doping control and testing conducted by IOC/WADA accredited laboratory
5. Accommodation (room and board) for FIE and FC A Presidents (or their official representatives)
6. Accommodation and indemnities (at a rate to be determined in consultation with the FIE and FCA President) for the FIE assigned President of Directoire Technique, Member of FIE Referees Commission, the Official FCA Technical Delegate, the 2 FCA Delegates to the DT, and all FIE licensed referees
7. Air tickets for the FIE assigned President of Directoire Technique, Member of the FIE Referees Commission, and all FIE licensed referees
On the other hand, Fencing Confederation of Asia will provide the air tickets of the FCA Technical Delegate and of its two assigned FCA delegates to the DT.
The Fencing Confederation Asia will also provide the following:
- Official Designation as Host/Organizer
- Right to organize FIE Referees Examination (preferably on February 2008)
- Supply of Official AFC medals for the competition.
