21.May.2021 FCA PRESIDENT AD HOC The FCA Board of Officers, following the structure of succession rules stated in the FCA Constitution, have confirmed Madam Rusni Abu Hassan of Malaysia as Ad Hoc President of the Fencing Confederation of Asia effective May 21, 2021. Everything else remains the same until the elections in Taipei this coming October 2021 which will coincides with the Asian Under23 Fencing Championships.
28.Apr.2021 FCA PRESIDENT CELSO L. DAYRIT IN MEMORIAM It is with sad and heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved FCA President Mr. Celso L. Dayrit - December 19, 1951 - April 28, 2021. We have lost a sports leader, a gentleman, a father to many, a brother, a dear friend and a mentor to many.
01.Dec.2020 FIE ADMINISTRATIVE WEBINAR As part of its worldwide developmental program, the International Fencing Federation scheduled a series of Administrative Webinars for all the continents. The webinar in Asia was done on December 1, 2020 participated in by 29 federation officials from 18 countries. The webinar was conducted by no less than the FIE CEO Ms. Nathalie Rodriguez with the assistance of Ms. Elena Murdaca.
27.Nov.2020 FIE OFFICIAL RANKING 2019-2020 After tabulating the official ranking of fencers and teams for season 2019-2020, the FIE announced the winners for the six individual and six team events. Korean saber fencer OH Sanguk ranked number one in the Men's Individual event, while teams CHINA and KOREA ranked number one in the Women's Epee Team event and the Men's Saber Team event, respectively.
27.Nov.2020 FIE ELITE REFEREES FOR SEASON 2020-2021 Based on the recommendations of the FIE Referees Commission, the FIE Executive Committee approved the list of 15 Elite Referees, five for each weapon. Of this list, two referees from Asia are included for FOIL, namely: SUH Sangwon (KOR) and CHUA Eugene Wee Hong (SGP)
25.Nov.2020 2022 JUNIOR AND CADET WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS As part of the items approved by the FIE member federations in its voting held via the Lumi Global platform on November 25, 2020, the United Arab Emirates Fencing Federation was awarded the right to host the 2022 Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships. This competition will be organized in the City of Dubai, UAE.
07.May.2020 2021 WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES It is of interest for all of us to know that the next World University Games are scheduled for August 18 to 29, 2021 in Chengdu China. This schedule was made before the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic which now has caused a lot of disruption in the world of sports, like the postponement of the Tokyo Olympic Games which is now re-scheduled for July 23 to August 8, 2021.
04.May.2020 2021 ASIAN YOUTH GAMES In the calendar of events of the Olympic Council of Asia, the 3rd edition of the Asian Youth Games is scheduled to be held in Shantou China on November 20 to 28, 2021. This quadrennial competition was supposed to have been held in Surabaya Indonesia in 2017, but because of the 2018 Asian Games that were in Jakarta, the AYG in 2017 was cancelled. The 2nd AYG were held in Nanjing China in 2013, while the inaugural AYG was celebrated in Singapore in 2009.
03.May.2020 TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC GAMES You may already know by now that the International Olympic Committee has decided to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to be held in its new schedule starting on July 23, 2021 until August 8, 2021. The IOC together with all stakeholders and the Japanese organizers are working to ensure the success of the Games next year, barring of course the threat of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
25.Mar.2020 OLYMPICS POSTPONED The International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Dr. Thomas Bach and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have agreed to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Games by a year in an extraordinary move, unprecedented in peacetime, as the world battles the coronavirus pandemic. This decision was approved by the IOC Executive Board, and is welcomed by most across the world.
12.Mar.2020 WORLD JUNIORS/CADETS CHAMPIONSHIPS Following the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, around the world, the International Fencing Federation has decided to cancel the 2020 World Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships originally scheduled to be held in Salt Lake City USA at the start of April.

16.Mar.2021 PAKISTANI FENCING FEDERATION In the meeting of the FIE Comex on February 20, the provisional membership of the Pakistani Fencing Federation (with full rights and benefits) was unanimously approved. Upon ratification of the FIE Congress at the end of this year, PFF will assume full pledge membership in the FIE. The approval came after the official membership of the PFF was accepted by the Pakistan Olympic Association (NOC).
14.Mar.2021 2022 ASIAN JUNIORS AND CADETS CHAMPIONSHIPS Following the decision of the FIE to cancel all the zonal championships for Juniors and Cadets this year that include the 2021 AJCFC in Tashkent Uzbekistan, the FCA Executive Board unanimously approved to grant the request of the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan the right to organize the 2022 AJCFC in Tashkent.
12.Mar.2021 MEMBERSHIP OF A NATIONAL FEDERATION IN THE FIE The FIE Comex approved an amendment to the FIE Administrative Rules particularly on Chapter 8 regarding the membership of a national federation. Chapter 8.10 will thus read:
07.Mar.2021 2021 OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS As recently decided by the FCA Executive Board, the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan was awarded the rights to host the Olympic Qualifiers for Asia and Oceania. The two day competition on April 25 and 26 will be held in Tashkent which is the capital city of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
25.Jan.2021 2021 AJCFC Cancelled In a recent online conference of all the Confederation Presidents, they discuss the situation of the zonal championships for Juniors and Cadets this year in Asia, AJCFC is scheduled in Tashkent Uzbekistan by late February until early March 2021.
04.Dec.2020 FCA REFEREES ENHANCEMENT WEBINAR The FCA has scheduled its second series of webinar, this time addressing the enhancement of all C licensed referees and those with "frozen" B licenses, in Asia and Oceania. Similarly, participants will be divided into two groups. The first group of referees from West Asia, South Asia, and Central Asia is scheduled on December 4 to 6, 2020. The second group of referees from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania will meet on December 11 to 13, 2020.
03.Dec.2020 2022 ASIAN GAMES TECHNICAL DELEGATE In consultation with the FIE, the FCA has appointed Ms. LOO ZHAO RONG from Singapore as the official Technical Delegate for the 19th Asian Games that will be held in Hangzhou, China in the year 2022 from September 10 to 25. On behalf of the FCA, Ms. Loo will coordinate with the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee for matters pertaining to its preparation of the Fencing events in the said quadrennial multi-sports continental Games.
02.Nov.2020 SECOND FCA REFEREEING WEBINAR The second FCA Refereeing Webinar of the Fencing Confederation of Asia was held on October 30 to November 1, 2020. This 3-day seminar done online was participated in by referees from East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Oceania federations, who all compose Group 2 of this developmental program. This time, 12 countries were represented namely: Australia, New Zealand, China, Macau, Mongolia, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
26.Oct.2020 FCA REFEREEING WEBINAR The first of two Refereeing Webinar of the Fencing Confederation of Asia was held from October 23 to 25, 2020. This webinar was dedicated for Asian federations belonging to GROUP 1 comprising referees from West Asia, South Asia and Central Asia. Eight countries were represented namely: Jordan, Kazakhstan, India, Iran, Lebanon, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.
22.Aug.2020 FCA ELECTIONS In an official announcement to be released soon, the FIE Executive Committee already approved to postpone this November's schedule of the FIE Elective Congress until after the Summer Olympic Games next year. Despite this however, each continental Confederation must decide on their Elections that is consistent with their own Statutes.
22.Aug.2020 2020 FCA GENERAL ASSEMBLY As previously scheduled, the 2020 FCA General Assembly and elections should be held in Taipei on October 13 and immediately followed by the Asian Under-23 Fencing Championships. Because of this Covid-19 pandemic we already cancelled the AU23 and postponed the Elections until 2021.
25.June.2020 2020 FCA ANNUAL DUES Considering that most of the FCA competitions and activities this year had been cancelled because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the FCA Executive Board decided to WAIVE the annual dues of its member federations to the Fencing Confederation of Asia for the year 2020.

23.Jun.2020 FIE PRESIDENT MAKES HISTORIC DONATION TO OLYMPIC MUSEUM IN LAUSANNE FIE President, Alisher Usmanov donated the historic manuscript laying out the original plans to revive the Olympic Games to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, almost 130 years after it was written by Baron Pierre de Coubertain.
09.Dec.2018 2018 INTERNATIONAL FENCING FEDERATION ANNUAL CONGRESS IN PARIS PARIS, France, Dec. 8, 2018-The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has completed its annual Congress meeting in Paris, France, accomplishing multiple decisions and procedures as part of its official charter. The Congress, which took place at the Paris "Pavillon d'Armenonville", had 135 federations present or represented, as well as FIE Commissions and Councils, members of the Executive Committee and members of Honour. In addition to this year's Congress, the FIE is also celebrating its 105th anniversary.
07.Dec.2018 YUKI OTA ELECTED NEW FIE VICE PRESIDENT During its meeting held in Paris France, the FIE Executive Committee has elected Mr. YUKI OTA (Japan) as the new FIE Vice President. He joins Donald Anthony (USA) and Anna Pascu (Romania) as the three vice presidents under the presidency of Me. Alisher Usmanov.

07.Oct.2018 JAPAN'S EUNO, HUNGARY'S RABB WIN GOLD ON OPENING DAY OF FENCING AT YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES IN BUENOS AIRES BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, October 7, 2018 - On the first day of fencing at the third Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, youth fencers from Japan and Hungary took gold in individual women's foil and men's sabre.
