31.Jul.2018 CHINA HOSTS BIGGEST ACC EVENT As predicted, China's debut in the Asian Cadet Circuit was the biggest to date. Four hundred fencers from fourteen (14) countries trooped to the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Centre to compete in the two-day event. The Organizers laid out a total of 32 pistes to accommodate all six (6) individual events.
22.Jul.2018 ITALY'S NAVARRIA, KOREA'S KIM WIN GOLD IN EPEE AND SABER AT WUXI FENCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WUXI, China, July 22, 2018-On the first day of finals competition at the 2018 Wuxi Fencing World Championships, Italy's Mara Navarria took gold in women's individual epee and Korea's Junghwan Kim won men's individual sabre. These were the first two of 12 individual and team competitions taking place at the expansive Wuxi Sports Center Gym, featuring a spectacular arena with an illuminated digital video floor and wall and extensive lighting display. Three days of individual preliminary competition have already taken place, and the official opening ceremony was held this evening before the semi-finals. Numerous Wuxi city and Jiangsu provincial officials were on-hand to open the finals, along with VIPs and former fencing champions from the International Fencing Federation. This is the first complete fencing world championship ever held in China.
19.Jul.2018 WUXI CHINA CADET CIRCUIT BIGGEST EVER The competitions of the Asian Cadet Circuit in Wuxi China held on July 19 and 20 2018 are the biggest ever. With slightly over 400 fencers from 14 countries participating, the ACC in Wuxi features all the six events in the two competition days. This is the first time that China has hosted competitions in the cadet circuit programme which started only in 2017.
19.Jul.2018 WOMEN'S REFEREEES SEMINAR AND EXAM From the initiatives of the FIE Women and Fencing Council, the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and the Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) agreed to jointly sponsor and organize a Women's Referees seminar and C License exam this year. This project aimed at encouraging participation and increase the number of qualified women referees in the Asian and Oceania continents, will be held in Pasig City Philippines on October 13 to 17, 2018 in conjunction with this year’s Asian Under 23 Fencing Championships which will take place on October 16 to 21.
21.Jun.2018 CHINA AND KOREA WIN TEAM MEN'S EPEE AND WOMEN'S FOIL AT BANGKOK ASIA-OCEANIA FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS BANGKOK, Thailand - June 21, 2018 - The Chinese men's epee and Korean women's foil teams earned gold medals at the Bangkok Asia-Oceania Zonal Fencing Championships. This was the fifth day of competition, with a total of six days of fencing featuring 12 individual and team events scheduled on the Rangsit Campus of Bangkok's Thammasat University. Thirty-five teams competed in the day's events.
19.May.2018 JULIANA SEOW JOINS FIE SEMI COMMISSION Fencing Singapore president Juliana Seow has been invited by the FIE to be a member of the FIE SEMI Commission. This follows the resignation of Yuan Xianggang from the Commission in view of his departure from the Chinese Fencing Association.
15.May.2018 DAYRIT DESIGNATED CHAIRMAN OF SEAGF FCA President CELSO DAYRIT has been designated as Chairman of the SOUTHEAST ASIAN GAMES FEDERATION Executive Committee for the term 2018 to 2019. The SEA Games Federation is composed of the 11 countries in Southeast Asia. These are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam.
29.Mar.2018 ANOTHER ASIAN ADDED TO FIE COMMISSION Dr. Fazlollah Bagherzadeh from Iran was recently included by the FIE as member of the FIE Promotion and Publicity Commission. He is the 24th Asian official serving the FIE for the quadrennial term until 2020, the most number of Asians ever accepted to be in the FIE structure.
13.Mar.2018 INIMITABLE ACHIVEMENTS FOR IRAN SABRE TEAM In the International 2018 Warsaw Sabre World Cup, Iran unbelievably clinched its first team silver medal. This new sabre Asian superpower displayed an unimaginable show by overcoming Ukraine 45-43, Italy 45-40, and Hungary 45-37. But in hard fought final match was dispatched by Korea, the other Asian sabre powers 31-45 and was placed second in this international sabre showpiece in Europe.

01.Mar.2018 FIE REFEREES EXAM IN DUBAI A total of 47 candidate referees from 11 countries attended the FIE Referees exam held in Dubai UAE from February 21 to 25, 2018. 31 candidates participated in the event of which 13 took the Foil exam, 11 for Epee, and 8 took the Saber exam in order to attain the B license.
24.Feb.2018 2018 AJCFC GETS UNDERWAY The 2018 Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships gets underway in Dubai at the United Arab Emirates. More than 700 fencers representing 30 federations from Asia and Oceania participated in one of the largest youth fencing competition ever held in the continent.
27.Jan.2018 SOUTH KOREA CLINCH TEAM TITLE AT FIE MEN'S EPEE WORLD CUP South Korea claimed the team title as the International Fencing Federation Men's Epee World Cup came to a close in Heidenheim in Germany. The South Korean side overcame France 45-41 in a hard-fought final to finish at the summit of the podium in the German town.
26.Jan.2018 JAPAN'S MINOBE WINS HEIDENHEIM FIE WORLD CUP THE HARD WAY Japan's Kazuyasu Minobe earned his first victory of the season at the International Fencing Federation (FIE) Men's Epee World Cup at Heidenheim in Germany, after defeating the world number two, France's Yannick Borel, and then the Olympic champion, Park Sang-young of South Korea.
17.Jan.2018 NEPAL'S 3RD NATONAL FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS The Nepal Fencing Association has successfully organized the 3rd National Fencing Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal on January 4-6, 2018. The Championship is also one of the selection procedure for the 18th Asian Games, 2018 and 13th South Asian Games, 2019.
2.Jan.2018 5TH PRESIDENT CUP FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS BANGLADESH The 5th President Cup Fencing Championship-2017 was held successfully in Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur-10, Dhaka, Bangladesh between 26 Dec to 30 Dec 2017. Referee's Mr. Abhishek Karki from Nepal and Mr. Sadesh Chandana from Srilanka graced the tournament as neutral referees in the championship.
26.Nov.2017 AFGHANISTAN AND IRAN JOINS CENTRAL ASIA Following the recent decision of the Olympic Council of Asia, Afghanistan and Iran are now part of the Central Asian region. They join the region composed of the five former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
19.Jul.2018 AU23 INSCRIPTIONS TO BE REGISTERED THRU THE FCA WEBSITE As decided upon by the FCA Executive Board in its meeting of June 16, 2018, all entries to this year's Asian Under 23 Fencing Championships to be held in the Philippines on October 16 to 21 need to be registered through the FCA website. This decision is aimed at ensuring the accuracy of the age eligibility and nationality of the participating fencers and facilitating the registration for poules assignments.
23.Jun.2018 ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP BIGGEST EVER As expected, the Amateur Fencing Association of Thailand organized a successful 2018 Asian Fencing Championships (AFC). It was held at the Thamasssat University in Bangkok from June 17 to 22, 2018. The main hall housed the four colored pistes and the final podium while 16 pistes were laid out in the adjacent hall. Entries were at a record high of 417 participants from 32 countries including Australia and New Zealand.
16.Jun.2018 2019 FCA MEETINGS GO TO JORDAN During the meeting of the FCA Executive Board held in Bangkok Thailand on June 16 2018, it was decided that the 2019 FCA Executive Board meeting and the 2019 FCA General Assembly will be held in Amman Jordan in conjunction with the 2019 Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships.
16.Jun.2018 WANG HAIBIN JOINS FCA BOARD Chinese Fencing Federation president Wang Haibin was accepted into the FCA Executive Board as the new Director for East Asian region. His term is until the end of 2020 thus serving the unexpired term of Wang Wei who has recently retired from the CFF.
07.Sept.2017 INSCRIPTION OF ENTRIES TO BE DONE ONLINE Following the successful experience with the Asian Cadet Circuit, the FCA Executive Board in its meeting in Bangkok on September 7, 2017 has decided to implement online inscription for participation to FCA competitions. This means that entries of fencers to participate in competitions will now be done thru the FCA website. Such competitions include the Asian Juniors and Cadet Fencing Championships (AJCFC) - cadets only, the Asian Under 23 Fencing Championships (AU23), and the Asian Veterans Fencing Championships (AVFC).
07.Sept.2017 REVISED GUIDELINES FOR ASIAN CADET CIRCUITS APPROVED The revised guidelines for the implementation of the Asian Cadet Circuit were approved by the FCA Executive Board in its meeting in Bangkok on September 7, 2017. To take effect immediately are the following changes in the guidelines:
07.Sept.2017 4th ASIAN C REFEREES SEMINAR AND EXAM IN DUBAI In order to accommodate more interested referees to acquire the necessary license to officiate in competitions, the FCA Executive Board decided to schedule another seminar and exam for referees before the end of the current year. To be held in Dubai UAE, this fourth such seminar/exam in Asia will be scheduled for December 14 to 17, 2017.
08.Sept.2017 FCA EXECUTIVE BOARD and GENERAL ASSEMBLY The 37th meeting of the FCA Executive Board and the FCA General Assembly were held in Bangkok Thailand on September 7 and 8, 2017 respectively. FCA President Celso Dayrit presided over the meeting which was also attended by Oceania Fencing Confederation president Helen Smith and FIE Vice President Wang Wei, who represented FIE president Alisher Usmanov.

22.Aug.2017 FCA BOARD ACCEPTS NEW MEMBERS In a decision arrived at by the FCA Executive Board, three new members were accepted into the governing body of the Fencing Confederation of Asia.
Mr. KIM HI YONG of Korea was admitted back as FCA Vice President in lieu of Saleh Al-Heimeidi (QAT) who begged off following his resignation from the Qatar Fencing Federation. Mr. KIM served as FCA VP from 2013 to 2016 by virtue of Korea being the host of the 2014 Asian Games.

10.Jun.2017 FENCING RECEIVES TWO ADDITIONAL TEAM EVENTS AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES LAUSANNE, Switzerland, June 9, 2017 - The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today granted the request of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) for two additional team events at the Olympic Games. Therefore, at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, fencing competition will comprise six individual and six team events.
