    FCA WOMEN AND SPORTS COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN TOKYO

    The Women and Sports Council held a meeting in Tokyo Japan on October 25, 2016 to discuss various matters related to the development of women participation in fencing. Headed by Mdm. HELEN SMITH who is also the president of the Oceania Fencing Confederation and the head of the FIE Women and Sports Council, the meeting was participated in by representatives from 10 countries from Asia and Oceania.

    Concerns regarding the obstacles encountered by women in their involvement in the leadership of their federations as well as in the assignment of women referees in various competitions were discussed and analyzed.

    FCA President CELSO DAYRIT graced the meeting and gave his suggestions to addressed the concerns raised.
