INTERNATIONAL CHARITY FOUNDATION DONATES TO FCA

The International Charity Foundation for FUTURE FOR FENCING has given the FCA a donation amounting to US$20,000 as part of their activity in helping the development of fencing in the world. While we did not ask for this donation, the Foundation made the offer to the FCA for the first time though it has helped some federations directly in the past.

In the agreement signed between the Foundation Executive Director GENNADY KIRYANOV and FCA President CELSO DAYRIT, they outlined the activities which this grant can be used such as for the organization of annual Congress and grant of transportation and accommodation for National Federations; the organization of zonal fencing competitions; the organization of athletes’ training camp and seminar for coaches; purchase of equipment for distribution to National Federations; or for the development of fencing countries in Asia.

While the FCA regularly provides for these activities from its own funds, the donation can further help the FCA in its developmental activities in Asia. The FCA Executive Committee will decide how this donation can best be used in line with the principles of the FCA and the International Charity Foundation.
