The FCA Executive Board has recently decided that bids for hosting FCA competitions in Asia will be open at least three years ahead (than two years in advance as what has been practiced in the past). As such, competitions for 2019 and 2020 will be open for bids by interested Asian federations and decided in the FCA General Assembly to be held in Bangkok in September 2017.
FCA now organizes four regular competitions annually. These are the Asian Juniors and Cadet Fencing Championships, the Asian (Open) Fencing Championships, the Asian Under 23 Fencing Championships, and the Asian Veterans Fencing Championships. With the recent decision of the FCA Executive Board, eight competitions for the years 2019 and 2020 will be taken up in September this year.
Not included in this decision is the hosting of the cadet circuit competitions which are subject to special negotiation.
