    IRAN WINS TEHRAN FIE JUNIOR WC

    Tehran 2017 FIE Junior World Cup being held in 16-17 of September has drawn 63 fencers from 14 countries, 8 teams from Europe and 6 teams from Asia.

    In the team event which was started by 9 countries, Iran won the gold medal for the first time since the FIE scheduled the junior team events.

    In the table of 8 Iran defeated Germany (worldly ranked 3) 45-43, then overcame Iraq in the semifinal 45-36. Finally in the final it overpowered Belarus (worldly ranked 10) 45-43. Belarus and Italy (worldly ranked 1st) became second and third.
