The competitions of the Asian Cadet Circuit in Wuxi China held on July 19 and 20 2018 are the biggest ever. With slightly over 400 fencers from 14 countries participating, the ACC in Wuxi features all the six events in the two competition days. This is the first time that China has hosted competitions in the cadet circuit programme which started only in 2017.
Gracing the Opening Ceremonies were FIE Vice President DONALD ANTHONY, FCA President CELSO DAYRIT, Chinese Fencing Association President WANG HAIBIN, and the other leaders of the Jiangsu Province and Wuxi City government.
A special treat for all cadet fencers participating is their chance to witness the ongoing World Fencing Championships which is also being staged in this city, which is fast gaining reputation as a sport city. Wuxi city was also the host of the 2016 Asian Fencing Championships and Olympic Qualifiers. The city is also known to be the home of Absolute Fencing which is the fast growing fencing equipment manufacturer.
