    UZBEKISTAN LEADS CENTRAL ASIAN EVENTS

    From September 5 to 8, 2019, Tashkent organized an FIE Satellite Tournament of Foil and Epee which was attended of about 120 athletes from more than 19 countries. There was also an Open Championships of the Confederation of Central Asia Senior category with all weapons was held on September 9 to 10 which was attended by the countries from Central Asia, Afghanistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Malaysia.

    As part of the Championship of CFCA, the Executive Committee of the Fencing Confederation of CA was also held during the competition, where they discussed the upcoming OG 2020 and the development of fencing. Due to the fact that 2020 is the Olympic year and all attention will be focused only on the OG, it was proposed to hold the next Open Championship of CFCA among children and veterans, in order to promote fencing among school-age children and support veterans.

    Within the framework of the competitions and the International fencing day, were successfully held presentations on fencing in several regular schools for the promotional program "from Schools to the Olympics Games", where it was being took part by more than 250 children.
