    JUJIE LUAN

    Jujie Luan is a prodigious foilist. In 1978, she was vice-champion (individual foil) in the World Junior Championships and the first finalist of the World Championships from Asia. In 1978, she was the champion of the Asian Games; in 1981, the vice-champion (individual foil) of the World Senior Championships; in 1984, the champion (individual foil) of the World Senior Championships; in 1984, the champion (individual foil) of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, becoming the first Chinese Olympic Champion in fencing.

    In 1985, she was champion (team foil) in the Universiade.
